FAQ's

For the best light, it’s my recommendation that we schedule outdoor sessions at either sunrise or 1-2 hours before sunset. Based on the time of year, exact times vary so details are determined once you’re booked and we’re close to the scheduled date. If your schedule does not allow a golden hour session, we can still schedule - but your images will vary in the style to compensate for the harsh light settings.

Shoots for maternity pictures typically take between 1 and 1.5 hours. This provides plenty time to move around, engage all participants in the session and get the most out of the location.

You'll be invited back to the studio for your ordering appointment within 1-2 weeks of your session. At this time, you'll have the chance to view the full gallery for the first time and place your order for customized artwork.

We offer our clients a selection of maternity gowns to choose from for their session. If you'd prefer to wear your own clothing, we have a style guide to help guide your selections to ensure you get the most from your outfit and session.

Of course we can include your significant other and children (fur babies included) in the session. We'll chat about what you're looking to get out of the session beforehand to determine how we can best fits your family's needs.

There are tons of locations in the Charlotte area that we love to shoot at. Once booked, I'll send over a questionnaire to determine what your "style" is and based on your answers - we can select a location that you love. In the meantime, if you want to see some of the popular spots, check out the location guide.

At this time, hair and makeup is not included - however I have a list of recommendations for both I'd be more than happy to share.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR A SESSION?

how long will it take?

when do i get photos back?

what do i wear?

can my significant other and older children join?

where do maternity sessions take place?

is hair and makeup included in the cost?
