It’s been forever since I blogged a session. Actually, now that I think of it – I haven’t blogged ANY of my sessions since the rebrand. But this one….this session was totally worth it. I met up with Megan and Brandon at Midtown Park for their Charlotte maternity photography session – and y’all..it was magical.
You can’t tell by the photos, but when we arrived at the park – a massive storm cloud rolled in. Talk about summer showers. We sat in our cars and texted a bit about game plan and decided to wait it out. Seriously, we checked doppler, watched the wind speeds, stalked the clouds – the whole 9. After about 15 minutes, the clouds rolled out and the sun peeked through, so we decided to give it a go. Man, am I glad we did.
If you’ve ever been to Midtown Park, you know that it’s usually swimming with photographers and clients or families walking along the greenway. Just our luck, I think the rain may have scared everyone else off. We had the whole park to ourselves. This allowed us the opportunity to really loosen up, be silly, chat about life and current events and have some good belly laughs. Literally this part is one of my favorite parts about sessions – genuinely getting to know my clients. Based of the hour I spent with these guys, I know this is one lucky little girl.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I have a selection of maternity gowns for my clients to choose from to wear for their session. Usually most mamas select which gowns they’ll be wearing but Megan let me choose her outfits. Talk about exciting!! I was finally able to use a gown that has been sitting in my closet along with a tried and true style that flatters every mama that wears it.
