I met up with Kayla and Tommy at Marshall Park one Sunday evening for our uptown maternity photoshoot. Admittedly, I’d heard good things about this park but had never been so I arrived a little early for time to scout out the spot. Based on my research- I knew I wanted to throw it into my rotation of locations. It’s especially good for mamas that want the Charlotte skyline without the crowds.
I’ve wanted an alternative to Romare Bearden Park for a while. Not only is that park always super crowded, but literally EVERYONE gets photos done there. Don’t get me wrong – it’s gorgeous, but I needed another option.
The weather was phenomenal – which was a little unexpected since the forecast had called for rain all day. Kayla and I chatted a little that morning and bounced back and forth about cancelling her maternity session. Luckily for us, we decided to play it by ear and as the day progressed, the clouds cleared out and the sun peeked through.
